The writer. A great disk jockey of words. Phrases demonstrated which become nothing more than an aggregation of meaning. These instances are not univocal. One meaning cannot be pulled from written text or even orally. Language is a nexus of various thoughts and ideas arranged to give impressions. Butterfly came stirring rack nonexistent habitat. Language is the biggest rip off in the history of mankind. On one side of the earth, that person uttered the syllables that identify common knowledge about what a particular item is. Right now I type on a laptop. If I were to close the screen, remove the cleaver from my knife block, and mince garlic, I now have a cutting board. My neighbor throws a rock but I lift up my shield to protect myself from the projectile. Now it’s a coaster. Then it’s a door stop. What is the true purpose of this object? Are the actions I’ve performed with my laptop against the rules of what computers should do? Who decides what rules govern my use of the computer? The limits of the ability of a resource to perform in different ways are endless. Words are performers. Words are catalysts. Within a word, there is no origin, no author, only a commonality. A community of agreed denotation and inferred connotation. What you call the world, I call an endless entropy of chaos which knows no axioms but only eternal proliferation. Language, life, our nexus.
Regrettably, I have been unable to produce a podcast on time for the normal quota but not without good reason. After visiting Clearwater Beach for Spring Break it seems as if I have a small upper respiratory infection which renders my voice a bit deep and scratchy for radio. Needn’t more be said.Nonetheless, there are many things out there that can be dipped into. With the American economy taking tumbles and turns in and out of consciousness, the presidential elections follow closely behind with equaled anticipation and collective confusion. The Fed rushes to the rescue of America by balancing out the books in favor of saving the economy from its imminent recession.

Given the geological evidence that has been shown throughout the years, it seems to me that global warming is more of a climate trend than a viable issue in society. People tend to amplify the effects of scientific information without understanding it. Technology becomes more sophisticated and we are able to uncover more about our past than ever before, and evidence has been shown to infer that our earth has been getting warmer over the past few centuries. Predictions involving global warming are fairly new assertions that have recently caused a worldwide change in lifestyle. These changes are no doubt for the better, but let’s not forget the Second Law of Thermodynamics, originally thought to be formed by a French physicist during the nineteenth century. Within the theory, objects are said to lose caloric energy and transfer to heat energy that is lost in the environment. In other words, no transfer of energy can be performed without a loss of energy able to perform work. Our world is in a state of potential entropy, every particle and essence attempting to break free from its organized form. Heat energy transfer loss is inevitable but does leave us with the question; can we really do anything about it? We in society become likened to sheep who follow the Shepard upon coercion, chasing the tails of popular science to no avail of consistent result.

How does our environment shape our thinking? Probably more than you think. Scientists implant electrodes into the brains of rats that stimulate their limbic centers creating pleasure. This is solid evidence that the brain is able to receive stimuli manually. The Law of Attraction states that we are the subject of our surroundings and indeed that like attracts like. For example, cynicism is likely to bring about a negative pattern of events because of the nature of perception. Looking through the eyes of pessimistic lens reveals a system of karma that comes back around as often as it first went. Interestingly enough, many people seem to fall into a pattern of understanding that is contrary to community beliefs. While individuality is important, active participation in society is important in its maintenance. This means becoming involved in community, social, and family affairs. Solidarity becomes fundamental for life and is provided by education. These common knowledges are to be shared with love and consideration, not with the greedy and power hungry connotation. Many oppressor versus oppressed circumstances end up having a Marxist approach to their surroundings and others who are weaker of will have a tendency to fall victim to this control. Indeed a positive outlook on life will help many of us to deal with daily toils as they arise. My advice is to never once allow the factors outside yourself dictate what it is you truly desire from life. Contingencies are invaluable, however, when you map out your life, so do not forget these. Road maps that plan our every part of life will show bumps, turns, and obstacles in the road of cognition. A million excuses are ripe for harvesting, but it is your own choice to pick.
After watching the debate in Ohio this evening it becomes increasingly obvious to me that Hillary Clinton is becoming more and more desperate in her measures against her opponent Barack Obama. Stabs at his rhetorical oration brings this into perspective as her unrealistic tactics towards his campaign. While it is largely expected for politicians to sidestep and macro-size their answers to policy questions, largely the debate from Sen. Obama seemed to have content while Sen. Hillary’s arguments were generalized and failed to answer most questions posed from the mediators. Some believe that a powerful orator does not shape a proper leader, as in example from Adolf Hitler. But I do not believe an individual can succeed as a leader in a government without having proper oral and creative skills to inspire the citizens. A student at Lake Sumter Community College made a comment to about conspiracy theory and incorporating it into the show. The whole ordeal behind the Clinton tax-release, and the Obama ‘fainting woman’ occurrences came to mind almost immediately. While not being particularly an extension of conspiracy theory itself, behind the scenes activity is definitely being performed. Credibility must be evaluated when looking at any politician, and education of the nominees and policies will show a truer representation of character. However, it is important to keep in mind that the president of the United States is not the only governing power in our country. A president is mainly a public representation, or hand, of our census.

Finally, the first broadcast (or podcast) of Devin’s World Radio is released. Its production is exciting because of the diverse content and participation I have received on only the first episode. Guest Ben Gould talks about insurance and military education, speaking from personal experience with both of these issues. A very interesting interview with graduate Ann Marie Pizzimenti sheds light on community colleges and their integration with state universities. Included is an essay on the consumption of limited environmental resources which provides an insight into global warming and its eventual downward spiral. Please.
